Abstract:This paper presents a method to determine the parameters of the traffic model for the LEO satellite networks-the handover traffic and the mean channel occupancy time.The main idea is that the handover traffic is mainly due to the movement of the satellites and the velocity of the mobile terminals and earth rotation is ignored.The performance level can be calculated accord-ing to different handover queuing model.
