| Abstract: | This paper illustrates the development and application of lost circulation additives at home and abroad in recent years.The plugging technologies and practices in some typical areas with serious lost circulation are further described,e.g., Zhongyuan Oilfield and east Sichuan area.The future of its development is forecasted,more specifically,use of chemical plugging additives,bridging and soft plug materials with adjustable softening points,bifunctional additive combing plugging and water resistance,and plugging additives for fractured formation represent the developing trend of this technology. |
