Abstract: | This paper describes the main features of 13 of the most widely used PC based interactive software packages in the field of power engineering that are used for industrial applications, education and research. A comparative study for these software packages is presented with respect to their major modules, modeling, capabilities, software and hardware requirements, and their use in teaching, design, analysis, operation and research on power systems. |
