Abstract:In order to quickly evaluate and improve the safety performance of the new steel-aluminum hybrid motorcycle frame,certain steel-aluminum hybrid motorcycle frame was considered as the research object,and its performance was analyzed and optimized by HyperMesh software.The finite element model of the motorcycle frame was established firstly and its maximum stress under three loading subcases of horizontal load,vertical load and cushion load,was extracted from the simulation results.Hammersley Sampling-Design of Experiment(HS-DOE)method was proposed to improve the traditional test design method by involving the Hammersley Sampling-Design of Experiment(HS-DOE)technique,in which the main section thickness of the frame was selected as the design variable,then its main effects on the maximum stress,maximum displacement,modal frequency and the frame mass were analyzed and sensitive design variables were determined by comparing their responses to the target.Based on this method,taking the frame strength and modal frequency as the constraints,and the maximum displacement of the cushion load condition as the optimization objective,multi-objective optimization design of the motorcycle frame structure was carried out using the OptiStruct solver.after which the optimization results were validated by simulation.The results shown that the HS-DOE method can create more uniform sample points.Under the premise of meeting the design requirements,the maximum stress of the motorcycle frame under the horizontal load condition was reduced by 41.44%,and the counterpart value under the vertical load condition was reduced.by 16.88%,while the frame mass was reduced by 1.88 kg,which was 10.23%less than the original front frame.
