Abstract:Great success has been achieved in the pilot test of heterogeneous phase combination flooding (HPCF)in the after-polymer flooding reservoir of Shengli oilfield, and the Preformed Particle Gel (PPG)plays a core role in oil displacement system. As a new kind of particle oil displacement agent, the matching relationship between PPG and reservoir pore throat will directly affect the design of the heterogeneous phase combination flooding system and field application effect. However, there still lacks an effective method to analyze the matching relationship between PPG and reservoir pore throat. Besides, the related variables of lab experiment control are not accurate enough. In this study, the spherical particle accumulation body is used to characterize the actual PPG, thus having established a micromechanical characterization model of PPG based on subparticle accumulation to quantitatively describe the migration of PPG in porous media. Moreover, this study explores the effects of physical parameters, pore throat size and other factors on the critical deformation pressure when PPGdeforms to pass through the pore throat. On this basis, the template for the matching relationship between PPG and reservoir pore throat is established; through the comparison and verification of physical simulation test results and simulated calculation results, it is found that this template boasts high accuracy and effectiveness. The PPG optimized based on the template has significant application effect in the expanded test area Zhongyiqu Ng3 block, Gudao oilfield. The injection pressure has increased by 6.5 MPa, and the oil recovery rate has increased by 9.8%. The template can realize the personalized selection of PPG under different reservoir conditions, which is of important guiding significance for the design of HPCF system and the application of HPCF.
