Abstract:In order to improve the mode switching quality of Hydro-Mechanical Transmission(HMT),A hierarchical optimization method for HMT mode switching process based on Linear Quadratic Regulator(LQR)was proposed.The dynamic model of HMT mode switching process was established.The impact degree and sliding friction work indexes were considered comprehensively.In the torque switching phase,using Linear Quadratic Regulator(LQR)theory,the optimal change rate of clutch transfer torque was solved,and the optimal trajectory was tracked by controlling the clutch torque.In the speed adjustment phase,under the premise of meeting the requirements of impact degree,the main and driven plates of the clutch were controlled to achieve fast synchronization.Simulation and test results show that the impact degree is reduced by 24.9%and the sliding friction work is reduced by 30.3%by the hierarchical optimization method.The mode switching quality is improved effectively.The research results can provide some theoretical reference for the practical engineering application of hydro-mechanical transmission.
