| Abstract: | The interpretation of Hall effect data obtained with a long thin-film transducer of width a is discussed; the size of Hall probe contact pad and the characteristic dimension of the magnetic field nonuniformity are  and lnrespectively. A diagram of local sensitivity of the transducer to the magnetic field has been plotted for  liand a.
