Abstract: | Research has been done on estimating and providing viability in machines and equipment on the assumption of the essential scope for safe operation for a certain time employing damaged components. The approach enables one to handle various tasks with a precision sufficient for engineering practice that arise in designing and operating constructional elements having hypothetical or actual defects and damage and operated under standard or emergency conditions. __________ Translated from Khimicheskoe i Neftegazovoe Mashinostroenie, No. 1, pp. 37–42, January, 2007. |
