This paper elaborates on controlling the cost of decoration engineering from the following five aspects: the engineering process and material price,record of acceptance of concealed work,the importance of reinforcing the concealed record,the existing quota's effects on the cost and the quantity surveyors' effect on the cost,which are the major factors affecting the cost of present decoration engineering projects,so as to control the cost of decoration engineering better.
