Research on Architecture of CORBA and Web Based Product Data Mana gement System

Intense competition has forced enterprises to adopt advanced technology to enhance their ability of product development. With rapid development of computer science and information technology, in particular Web technology, the boundary of enterprises has been extended to worldwide, and the product development strategy of enterprises are changing dramatically. Along with these trends, there emerged many problems to be handled with different kinds of solution have been proposed. After careful study of this problems current enterprise faced, it has explained in this thesis that the effective management of product development was of the most importance. Then, on the basis of this study, a research of the feasibility of developing a CORBA and Web based PDMS (Product Data Management System) is an effective way for enhancing development and management ability of the transregional enterprise. After an effective studying on interrelated technology it clearly shows that PDMS has good feasibility and realizable technical approach. Finally, some problems in the study had been fully explained, meanwhile it has prospected for the near future researching.
