Abstract: | Novel core-shell hydroxyapatite/chitosan biocomposite nanospheres were synthesized in a multiple emulsion. The multiple emulsion was a w/o/w emulsion, made of diammonium phosphate solution as an inner aqueous phase, cyclohexane as an oil phase, and calcium nitrate solution and chitosan solution as an outer aqueous. The forming mechanism of core-shell spheres and the influence of temperature on the morphology of the nanospheres were investigated.
