Abstract:
A method is presented for the determination of reduced order linear synchronous machine models for dynamic stability evaluation's and as a basis for excitation and governor controller design. The reduction technique is based on Davisons method and is presented in such a way that enables it to be used in isolation, for general linear model reduction, or to be included in an overall synchronous machine stability procedure.
