| Abstract: | Esterification between maleic anhydride and monoglycerides of saturated fatty acid has been studied. The nature of reaction vessels, temperature and reaction time have been evaluated in view of the product distribution in the final product. Concentration of monoesters (half-esters) diesters and dimers has been calculated and related to the reactants’ ratio, time and temperature of the esterification. |
