| Abstract: | The concealed active faults often have a very bad effect on engineering constructions,so the investigation and prevention are very important.In this paper,taking a large oil depot as an example,the technique of exploring the concealed active faults is systematically discussed.The shallow seismic method,data acquisition,data collection,data process,data interpretation and engineering geological drilling program are also studied in details.Then,the measure of preventing the active concealed faults are suggested,which solves the problems of engineering construction.The result of the practical application in engineering construction proves that the effective method of detecting concealed active faults is to combine shallow seismic exploration with engineering geological drilling.This provides a valuably practical experience for the similar engineering construction in this area. |
