Developing a microprocessor-based energy management controller

This article is an account of a commercial study to develop a microprocessor-controlled water and space and water heating system. There are two control cycles, concerned with control of the source heating the transmission medium (water) and with the use of this heated medium according to the demands of the domestic environment. These control requirements are investigated in this article with a view to developing a system which would allow a range of energy inputs to be controlled and used.
