| Abstract: | SHS-produced β-sialons Si6−z Al z O z N8−z (z = 1, 3, 4) were tested as supports for oxidation catalysts comprising of unary, binary or ternary mixtures of transition metal (Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) oxides and also KMnO4 and K2Cr2O7. In oxidation of CO and propane (C3H8), the highest activity was exhibited by the catalysts based on cobalt oxides. Suggested are some methods for activation of the above catalysts. |
