| Abstract: | To investigate the effectiveness of IVTA in the treatment of CME due to BRVO.In this study 34 eyes of 33 patients with macular edema due to BRVO were treated with IVTA and followed-up for 1 year.Examination included measurement of BCVA for distance,IOP,foveal retinal thickness measurement by optical coherence tomography（OCT）.Results shows that the BCVA increased to a significant degree at 3 days,and it last to 3 months,but at 12 months there was no significant improvement.The CMT improved to a significant level at 3-6 months,but with a small improvement at 12 months.No surgical complications,such as secondary glaucoma,endophthalmitis,complicated cataract,vitreous hemorrhage,retinal detachment,were happened after IVTA.So,IVTA is safe and has significant effect for CME due to BRVO,but this significant effect is not permanent. |
