Abstract: | This paper describes the structures produced in isothermally transformed Fe−Cr−C alloys. It is shown that both the ferrite morphologies and associated carbide dispersions can be related to the relevant growth mechanisms. Preliminary kinetic data suggests that the transformation is controlled by the redistribution of solute within the advancing interface. |
