| Abstract: | The interconnection of power grids and the commissioning of large-capacity generating sets have continuously improved the overall short-circuit current level of the power grid.If no restriction measures are taken to control the excessive shortcircuit current,it will not only challenge the breaking capacity of the circuit breaker in the grid,but also have a great impact on the safe and stable operation of the power system.Based on the PSCAD/EMTDC electromagnetic transient simulation program,a simulation model of the short-circuit current limiter on the low-voltage side of the transformer is established.The simulation verifies the validity of the model.At the same time,a simulation study of the current limiting performance of the short-circuit current limiter and the impact of different installation methods on the transformer protection is also carried out. |
