| Abstract: | With the extension of oil field development, reservoir depth increases gradually and pump setting depth is more and more correspondingly. Rod load reducer is able to lower hanger position load of pumping unit and deepen pump setting depth thus. This paper analyses the oper-ating principle of rod load reducer and based on that, formula of calculating the force to lower load is deduced. The example of rod load reducer applied in oil field is presented as well. |
