Abstract:NiCoCrAlY and NiCr coatings were prepared on the surface of GH907 alloy by low pressure plasma spraying.The thermal shock resistance of the two types of coatings was comparatively evaluated.It was found that after 10 cycles of thermal shock,cracks were generated on the surface of both coatings,and the cracks of NiCoCrAlY coating were bigger than those of NiCr coating.Besides,only vertical cracks along the sprayed grains were generated on the cross-section of NiCr coating,but lateral cracks propagating along the interface and vertical cracks were observed on the cross-section of NiCoCrAlY coating.NiCr coating had better thermal shock resistance than NiCoCrAlY coating.
