This paper makes a preliminary study of Chinese one-piece sleeve, an element of nationality trappings, expounds its structural characteristics, the principle of varying its designs and related methods, sums up its several innovative designs and moldings, including sloping shoulder, sloping sleeve, raglan, and multi-piece styles along with their application rules. It uses the concept of modern garment design and the fabricating methods to modify the traditional Chinese style one-piece sleeve, combining into it the cultural intension of the nationality trappings and obtaining diversified innovative designs.
