Abstract:According to the problem of relative fixed and difficult customized report form generated from SPI, one solution is proposed to utilize Excel VBA programming to automatically generate instrument professional reports, key steps and main content of the method are described in details. The method extracts instrument design data from SPI database successfully, and then automatically export into final instrument design documents based on related template of the design unit. After application in actual projects and continuous improvements, this software already can export many instrument design documents, such as instrument index, monitoring data sheet, material sheet and instrument and cable sheet, etc. The practice proves that the method provides advantage of stunning flexibility and strong reusability, and can improve instrument designer's working efficiency significantly.
