Research on Public Participation and Selection in Urban Planning in Shanghai Pudong New Area

Nowadays the degree of public participation in urban planning has been increasing. Through comparison and contrast home and abroad, this paper focuses on the different kinds, different subjects and forms of public participation in different stages in urban planning with a view to the practice of urban planning in Pudong New Area in hopes to provide some helpful ideas to policy making.
