Abstract:To apply suitable structure of the reactor may ensure the relative stable temperature in the catalysis layer, it is the key of stable performance of synthesis process. In this article, the optimization of material selection and design for the first methanol synthesis water cooled reactor and the same kind of equipment was described. This optimum design makes higher single pass conversion rate and fewer by-products, thus, the production of methanol is increased with the same diameter of the reactors. Moreover, by removal of large nozzle, the neaative influence on the strength of the reactor shell is lowered and the r)roduction cost is. then. reduced.
