Practically all measures related to the creation of reservoirs take into account problems of the rational use of natural resources;
the implementation of these measures will reduce or minimize the adverse effect of reservoirs on the environment.

It remains to perform extensive research, including long-term observations on existing reservoirs, in order to gain greater
knowledge about the interaction of reservoirs with the environment, which will permit developing measures whose accomplishment
will reduce still more their adverse effect on the environment and in some cases will lead to an increase in the natural resources
of our country.
