| Abstract: | Machining center is one of the most important e-quipments in modern machine shop.In this paper, the performances of high speed machining center are introduced. The motorized spindle and linear motor used in the machining center are given.The parallel mechanism used in high speed machine tool is analysed. The applications of high speed machining in automobile industry, mould inustry, aeronautic and as-tronautic industries are discussed. Finally, the author makes some suggestions on developing high speed machining centers in China. |
