Abstract: | This paper is concerned with the problem of guaranteed cost control for Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems with time‐varying input delay. The input delay is of interval type, and no restriction is imposed on the derivative of the time delay. Based on free‐weighting matrix method, new delay‐dependent sufficient conditions for the existence of a fuzzy guaranteed cost controller are provided by means of linear matrix inequalities.
