Abstract:The principle,process and equipment configuration of zinc oxide method desulphunzatlon technology are described. The zinc oxide method desulphurization system for volatile kiln off-gas in Henan Yuguang Zinc Industry uses two-stage turbulent impulse scrubber technology to ensure SO2 emissions ≤250 mg/m^3. In plant design, some measures were taken, including controlling flow rate in pipe, setting pipeline loop and branch to prevent pipeline blockage. Some technical solutions for utilizing desulphurization by-product zinc sulphate solution are discussed. The load adjustment tests showed that, with off-gas volume of 8.0 x 104 m^3/h, temperature of 300℃, SO2eoneentration of 12.0 g/m^3, desulphurization efficiency was about 98.6% , and SO2 concentration in treated off-gas was 171 mg/m^3. The plant still has a large regulating margin.
