Abstract:With the improvement of the conversion efficiency of PV module and the increase of the single inverter power,the PV array capacity of large scale ground PV power station has gradually increased from 1 MW,1.6 MW,and 2.5 MW to 3.125 MW.This article is based on Turpan City,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,taking the climatic conditions in this area as an example,the economics and feasibility of choosing 3.125 MW and 6.25 MW for the PV arrays capacity in the large scale ground PV power station are analyzed.The results show that when the PV array capacity is 6.25 MW,the cost per watt is basically the same as that of the PV array capacity is 3.125 MW,and the advantage of choosing 6.25 MW PV array capacity in this area is not obvious.
