Review on the Hazard of Plastic Package to Cosmetic Safety

Plastic is widely used for packaging of personal care products due to its excellent properties and low price.However,plastic usually contains residual monomers,additives,oligomers,and processing aids,etc.,which may migrate from the package to the products.These substances have potential hazard to the safety of personal care products and public health.However,these issues have not yet attracted widespread concerns nowadays.This paper reviewed different kinds of residual monomers,additives,oligomers which were used in packaging materials.The factors affecting their migration and theoretical prediction models are introduced as well.
