Abstract: | The filtration of unipolar submicron aerosol drops with a diameter of 0.1–4 μm through fibrous filters polarized in an external
electric field of up to 10 kV/cm was studied. The experimental trapping coefficients of charged particles for a fan model
filter with a homogeneous fibrous structure were significantly higher than the trapping coefficients of uncharged particles
because of the diffusion deposition and linking. Highly effective systems of air purification from disperse and molecular
impurities with low resistance and the consumption of up to 105 m3/h were developed on the basis of electrofiltration and photocatalysis. |
