Abstract:On purpose to study flood forecasting, the Xin'anjiang model with three runoff components is applied to the Xijin River basin above Hulesi hydrological station in the southern mountain area of Anhui Province. The methods of estimating parameter values, the model's calibration and verification are studied. Finally, some issues of modeling accuracy and further application are discussed. The results and experiences obtained may be useful in studying and applying the Xin'anjiang Model to real_time flood forecasting for the similar area and the Gangkouwan Reservoir.
