Summary on technical innovation of PVC paste resin facility capacity from 10 kt/a to 15 kt/a

A technical innovation plan of expanding 5 kt/a paste resin production was determined based on the analysis of situation of its units and capacities of main procedures including the procedure of compound and dispersion of chemicals,the polymerization procedure,the drying procedure,the crush and package procedure in a 10 kt/a PVC paste resin facility.This plan needed increasing some equipment such as polymerizer,discharge tank,separation device with total engineering investment RMB 1.8 million.The expanded production facility worked successfully on the first test run on November 6,2000. 7 005.4 tons of PVC paste resin was produced with qualified rate above 98.5%.It was put forward that lower output than capacity was caused by insufficient capacity of crushing machine which needed improving to reach given output and product standard.
