A Study on Mutual Impacts Between City Culture and Urban Construction

City culture shapes the ideology of the planning decision-making individuals and thus influencing the modality of urban construction. City culture also places restriction on the planning decision-making system and thus affecting the result of the urban construction. Urban construction can not only create urban space to form city culture, renovate the historical space to develop city culture, but also damage the carrier space and annihilate city culture as well. Therefore it is necessary to harmonize city culture with urban construction by harmonizing the orientation of city culture and the image of urban construction at macro level, harmonizing the recognition of city culture and the overall arrangement of the city at medium level and harmonizing the atmosphere of city culture and the keynote of urban construction at microcosmic level.
