Application of Siemens PLC in the Control System of Fluid Coupling

In allusion to the variable speed fluid coupling of thermal power plant, the Siemens S7-200PLC based control system is introduced in this paper, the analysis for measurement and control object, composition of system hardware and design of control programs and so on are included. The reliability and economical efficiency of operation of the whole machine are improved by apply- ing the PID algorithm to regulate rotate speed of water pump in the system.
