Simulation of continuous counter-current leaching of garad pods

A multiple-batch extraction technique, usually applied in liquid-liquid extraction, has been employed successfully to simulate continuous counter-current leaching of tannins from garad pods. The work shows that the overall leachability using the best continuous systems could be as high as that of the batch system.
