一种简单的视频点播服务器的设计与实现

视频点播是一种新兴的交互式多媒体技术。首先简要介绍了视频点播服务器实现中的关键技术,如数据存储、硬盘调度、视频流轮换、接纳控制、缓存管理等。然后在简易的硬件环境下给出了一种能够达到一定性能指标的视频点播服务器的设计和实现方案,最后对该实现方案的性能进行了测试与评估。

Simple Design and Implementation of a VOD Server

VODis a newly developed interactive multimedia technology.This paper f irst briefly intro-duces the key techniques in the imple mentation of a VOD server,such as data storage,disk scheduling,stream alternating,admission cont rol,buffer management,etc.After t hat,a design of a VOD server,which can achieve a certain performa nce under a simple hardware environm ent,is presented.The perfor-mance of the design is tested and evaluated in the end of the paper.
