| Abstract: | The differences in west- ern and eastern cultures and thinking modes determine the difference of the English language and Chinese language. One of the main distinctions is that Eng- lish language abounds in abstract nouns and expressions describing the nature and qualities of things and people. This paper discuss how to translate these ab- stract nouns and terms into Chinese in a concrete and vivid way. |
