Conversion of British size tolerances

A comparison between the standard for the British size tolerances and that for the metric size tolerances is made, two methods for converting the British size tolerance into the metric size tolerance, i. e. the standard conversion method and the direct replacement method, are introduced. The errors occurring by the standard conversion method are estimated by mathematic statistics, and the application limits of the two methods are presented.
