Study of the Mach‐Zehnder interferometric technique for dielectric resonator tuning

Abstract:The modulation of a microwave‐scale Mach‐Zehnder interferometer coupled to a dielectric resonator (DR) tunes the DR resonance frequency. We report on a theoretical study to develop an understanding of the intrinsic tuning properties of an Mach‐Zehnder interferometer ring‐DR‐microstrip line system and present an experimental verification. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
