Psychological assessment of older adults.

Older adults experience a diverse range of cognitive, emotional, and social problems for which psychological assessment may be beneficial. This article describes sequential steps in geropsychological assessment and reviews some of the procedures that can be used for making a differential diagnosis, establishing a baseline for longitudinal follow-up, or planning for interventions.
