| Abstract: | The profitability of a refinery is related to the performance of FCC unit and the profitability of FCC u-nit is on intimate terms with catalyst selection and application. Catalyst selection has the direct relation with feedstock property, status of FCC unit and the product slate desired. Good profitability cannot be directly generated from the proper selection of catalyst, and it needs a proper operation as well. Optimizing operation conditions based on catalyst property is the crucial factor to obtain profit. Catalyst selection and application are the responsibility of refinery, and catalyst vender only provides assistance. |
