Abstract:In order to improve the performance of molybdenum disulphide catalytic hydrogen evolution reaction,ammonium molybdate and reduced polyoxometalates(rPOM)were used as molybdenum sources,and thioacetamide was used as the sulfur source to prepare molybdenum disulphide sheet and molybdenum disulphide flower-ball.Through physical characterization and electrochemical test,the hydrogen evolution performance was investigated.The results showed that compared with MoS2 sheet,the MoS2 flower-ball has a lower overpotential(287 mV of 10 mA/cm2)and a smaller Tafel slope(96.2 mV/dec).After 2000 cycles,the current density of MoS2 flower-ball only slightly decreased,which shows good stability and durability.The shape of MoS2 flower-ball is conducive to exposing more terminal S atoms,and the size of MoS2 flower-ball is much smaller than that of MoS2 sheet through employing the nano-scale rPOM as the template,which leads to the exposure of active sites and the boost of catalytic performance of hydrogen evolution reaction.
