| Abstract: | Urbanization asks for higher capability of power supplying and improved performance of urban area grid, and VSC HVDC provids a new power supply solution. This paper builds in PSS/E a urban area grid model including a VSC transmition line with the property of receiving end, based on the four generations and two areas model. A serials of simulation tests verify the positive functions at the aspects of damping low frequency oscillation and voltage support the technology brings. |
