| Abstract: | A measurement was made for spatial correlation characteristics of land radar clutter with two FM-CW scatterometers at X and L band respectively. Some results are shown in this Paper. 1. The derived spatial correlation characteristics of land clutter is weakly related to polarizatios. 2. Spatial correlation length of land clutter becomes longer with the increase of incident angle. 3. Spatial correlation function can be approximated with the summation of Gauss and exponential functions. 4. L band electromagnetic waves are capable to penetrate much deeper into vegetation than those at X band. |
