Abstract:The toughening and strengthening modifications of PE by inorganic particles, nano-inorganic material, whisker, ionomer and short polyester fiber are reviewed. The self-reinforcement of PE is also introduced. The performance of modified PE and the modifying mechanism are prescribed.
