| Abstract: | his paper presents a mathematical model for the optimized design of the heat pipe air preheater of a utility boiler. The control condetion of the preheater minimum tube wall temperature has been introduced into the constraint function vector. Some explanatory notes are given regarding the specific features of the method involving the use of optimization techniques during the design of the heat pipe air preheater. A specific calculation example is also presented. |
