Abstract:The crystallization behaviors of the blends of HOPE and several elastomers (EVA , CPE , SBS , NR , SBR , IIR , BR ,CR and NBR )with mass ratio 100/5 were studied . The influences of these elastomers on environment stress cracking resistance ( ESCR ) and mechanical properties of HDPE were investigated and compared with those of LLDPE . The crystallization process of the blends were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results summarized showed that the crystalline temperature andcrystallinity of these blends were lower than those of pure HDPE . Addition of the elastomers increased greatly the ESCR and the elongation at break of HDPE , while tensile strength maintained .The effects of most unpolarized elastomers were better than LLDPE . Besides , polarized elastomers had also modification effect.
