Abstract:Objective A high-efficient, simple, convenient and safe method for extraction of luteolin from Physalisalkekengi L.var. franchetii (Mast.) Makino was developed and optimized by single-factor experiment and orthogonal experiment. Methods For extraction of luteoloside from the dried calyxes of Physalisalkekengi L.var. franchetii (Mast.) Makino, the solvents of methanol, ethanol and water, and the methods of ultrasonic, heating reflux extraction and percolation were investigated, respectively. Results The results showed that the yield of luteoloside was higher by using the solvent of ethanol and the method of heating reflux. Then, single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment were applied for further optimization of the extraction process. The results showed that the yield of luteoloside was increased to 1.28% by using the solvent of 95% ethanol, the ratio of material to solvent 1:30 (g/mL), heating reflux extraction for 90 min, extraction of 3 times. Conclusion After optimization of the processes, the extraction rate of luteoloside was significantly improved.
